New Beginnings : 3rd February 2015
So we have arrived in another year and with it comes new challenges. The biggest thing for me this year has been the opening of my own home studio. Small, and intimate but it has everything you need for a great creative working space. It is available to hire to anyone who wants to work creatively and likewise to anyone who wants a portrait session, a family portrait session or a beloved pet portrait session. During the summer months we also have use of our small garden for some lovely outdoor portrait shots. The studio is well equipped with everything that is needed to make any session comfortable along with ample supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
For me personally it provides me with a place to create more images and to expand on my portrait photography developing new ideas and working on new concepts. I hope along the way to work with some great people and hopefully to make some new friends. If you have an idea or a concept in mind then message me and together we may be able to work together to bring it to life.
The studio also allows me to combine two of my loves – photography and animals – and I have been fortunate to photograph some lovely dogs. One, a Border Collie called Holly had recently had a stroke and her owners wanted some portraits done before it was too late. Although she was a bit wobbly we did get some great shots of her and their other dog and even managed to get a great family portrait of all of them together.
But photography is not just abut portraits and studio work – I still like to get out and about as much as possible, enjoying landscapes and the urban environment. But my first love will I think always be portraits and art nude.
I will be having a revamp of the galleries soon – so please check back to see my latest images.
